The Carrefour Open Padel Tournament was held from 4th to 7th June 2026 at Networks Padel Village. The landmark sporting event sponsored by Carrefour, exclusively operated by Majid Al Futtaim in Kenya, drew massive players and fans, cementing padel’s rapid rise in Kenya’s sports landscape while creating meaningful impact within the local padel community.
True to both Networks Padel Village and Carrefour’s commitment to community and youth development, the joint junior coaching initiative introduced one hundred children from Gacharage Comprehensive School to the sport through guided clinics and mentorship sessions. In a life-changing opportunity, the top three standout young players were awarded full one-year scholarships to the Networks Padel Academy, fully sponsored by Networks Padel Village.
The four-day tournament exceeded expectations, attracting more than 300 players across multiple skill divisions and drawing hundreds of spectators daily. Fans packed the vibrant interactive fan zones, creating an electric atmosphere as some of Kenya’s top padel talent battled for glory and a share of the KES 700,000 prize pool.

The tournament culminated in a spectacular final in the Top Kenya Division. In a showcase of elite athleticism, strategy, and lightning-fast reflexes, Kean and Kael emerged as champions after a fiercely contested match against runners-up Amar and Gaston. True to its word, Carrefour Open hit differently as their victory secured the top prize in the Top Kenya division and capped off an unforgettable weekend of fierce rallies.
